Difference between Base Band and Broad Band communication

Band width use refers to the way of allocating the capacity of transmission media. The total media capacity or band width can be divided into channel. There are two way of allocating the capacity or band width are:

(a) Base Band (b) Broad Band

a) Base Band

These transmissions use the entire media band width for a single channel.

b) Broad Band

These transmissions allow the division of entire media band width into multiple channels. Since each channel can carry a different analog or digital signal, broad band network support multiple simultaneous conversation over a single transmission media.
