Explain the need for partitioning a Hard Disk.

Partitioning is the process of dividing the hard disk into logical section known as drives. Each partition on the hard disk act as one or more different disk drive called Logical Drive. Each partition can hold a different operating system on different partition such as we can have window 98 on the first partition and window XP on the second partition. Partitioning make our system start faster. The standard program that is used to carry out partitioning is called FD.
